My Experience:

Lip Balm Alert: Forest Essentials Luscious Lip Balm Sugared Rose Petal
It comes in a cute little container which has transparent bottom and matte gold lid. It looks very classy. The lid houses a little mirror to help with the touch ups. The container is travel friendly. The entire container comes packed in a cardboard box, which is a treat to the eyes all by itself.

The product looks pink in the container but comes as a transparent oily cream. The texture of the cream is oily and it spreads quite easily on my lips. A little quantity is sufficient to cover my lips.

The product has an awesome and mesmerizing rose fragrance. The fragrance is intense yet natural. You can just keep on smelling it again and again without getting tired of it. It gives a very exotic feel.

My lips are not dry or pigmented to begin with. But with frequent usage of cosmetics, sun exposure and negligence, it has become pigmented around the corners and excessively dry. When I applied it overnight, I expected this lip balm to soothe the dryness and help me wake up to smooth, pink lips.  The Lip balm did a very average job in that department. My lips remained in their same dry state. In my lips, this product stays for 1 -2 hours during which it imparts temporary moisturization. Another point which I must mention is, once applied, this product takes forever to get absorbed. It spreads into the inner part of my lips and I end up licking it. It tastes very weird.

As my lips were dry and chapped, I had stopped using any lip products apart from this lip balm for the past 4 days and I must say that the pigmentation has considerably reduced. But I am not sure if it is because of this product or because of not using any lip colors.

I was disappointed with this product but was determined to make it work somehow or the other. I was not prepared to keep it just like that. I devised a plan and it WORKED!!

The process is, I took a teeny bit of this lip balm, added few granules of sugar in it and used it as a lip scrub during my once-in-a month-at-home-face-clean-up session. And it works very fine. I am very much satisfied by using it this way. It gives soft lips, removes dead tissue and decently reduces the pigmentation.

Let me summarize the pros and cons before moving on to the verdict.

1. Very nice fragrance.
2. Attractive Travel Friendly Packaging.
3. Completely Natural.
4. Has little effect on reducing the temporary pigmentation.

1. Not moisturizing enough.
2. Needs to be reapplied every 2 hours for the temporary moisturizing.
3. Spread to the inner lips and tastes weird.

Verdict: Though I won’t call this product a waste of money, I am not satisfied with its performance at all. I love the smell and the way it works as a lip scrub. I intend to use the container for storing my zircon stone bindi.

Not recommended and though I wish to try their other variants, I will not re-purchase this.

Hope you girls loved the review and found it useful.
