L'OREAL PARIS Color Riche Special Edition (Festival de Cannes) in Copper Cuff - Review

Hello Friends,

I am up with a post relating to nail polish after a long time. When the Cannes collection was launched by L’Oreal Paris, I was going mad over their glitter polishes. Especially the copper colored one. I had already seen their swatches online and the other polishes did not catch my fancy as the copper cuff. I checked almost 3 to 4 L’Oreal counters in vain. None were even aware about the launch of such collection. And, finally I got them from Nykaa.com.

Copper cuff is a thickly packed coarse copper colored glitter polish with golden hexagon flecks. Though the base is clear, as the copper glitters are thickly packed, it covers the nail pretty well in a single swipe when compared to normal glitter polishes. In two-three coats the nail is completely covered. I love the color. It looks very pretty and sophisticated on my yellow toned medium-fair complexion.

About:

Ingredients:

Price: INR. 235/-

In the bottle:

Drying Time: The polish dries very fast than the traditional glitter polishes. I was amazed. Due to this, the polish in the brush thickens quickly when exposed to air even for a short span of time and it becomes difficult to spread the polish evenly on the nail.

Finish: The finish of the polish is very coarse. If I ruffled my hair with this polish on, my hair gets struck in the hexagonal gold glitter pieces. To reduce the coarseness, I used my rimmel top coat on it.

The brush: I am totally disappointed with the brush. I hate it when my eyeliners/nail polishes come with a faulty brush. The brush is very uneven and how come a limited edition product come with such a brush?

Staying Power & Removal: In two hours of application, if you do some work like combing hair, the glitters near the tip of your nail fall off. Apart from this, the polish stays with the same brightness for a long time.

For removal, you need heavy duty removers. I used lakme nail polish remover and I had to almost fight with it to remove the polish off. You can also try the method of wrapping aluminum foil to get it off.

NOTD:

I have used a single coat of this polish on my ring finger and on the rest i have used 3 coats.

Verdict: Though I love the color of this polish, I personally feel that they are over-hyped when it comes to the quality. I will not buy the other shades.

Hope you girls found my review useful.

Love,
Raji
