Himalaya Herbals Purifying Neem Pack - Review

Hello Friends,

I have mentioned lot of times about my very weird skin type. I get pimples every month which are hormonal. Depending on the way I take care of my skin, the pimples flare up. As the skin on my cheeks, near my nose etc are very dry, using products that are marketed for pimple prone skin end up further drying those areas. Of late, I have accepted this phenomenon and I strive to take good care of my skin so that the breakouts are minimized and my skin texture is maintained.

Today i am reviewing my HG Face pack which is the Himalaya Herbals Purifying Neem Pack. It has helped me immensely in maintaining my skin. I have been using this pack for three months now. This is my third time repurchase.

**Action:
Clears skin and prevents outbreak and recurrence of pimples. Rejuvenates and firms up the skin. Imparts natural glow. Antibacterial purifying Neem Face Pack regulates excess oil secretion, cleans clogged pores and prevents recurrence of pimples. Improves skin texture. Neem, well known for its antibacterial properties, helps in controlling acne and pimples, and their recurrence. When combined with Turmeric, it effectively eliminates acne-causing bacteria. Fuller's Earth (Multani Mitti) cools and soothes the skin.

**Indications:
Oily and Pimple-prone skin.

**Ingredients Include:
·         Azadirachta indica (Neem, Nimba)
·         Panka (Fuller's earth, Multani Mitti)
·         Curcuma longa (Turmeric, Haridra)

**Use Directions:
Apply evenly over cleansed face and neck, avoiding the area around eyes. Allow it to dry for 10-15 minutes. Remove with wet sponge and wash the skin with cool water. Use once or twice a week.

Price: Rs. 65 for 50 g and Rs. 115/- for 100 g.

My Experience:

I am impressed with the ingredients list. Neem, Multani Mitti and Turmeric are known to be so good for problematic skin.

The product comes in a white tube with a flip open cap. It is travel friendly as long as you don’t exert too much pressure on the tube.

The product is a thick, greenish brown, coarse cream. It applies evenly and smells like neem.

The product takes about 15 minutes to dry if a sheer layer is applied and takes more than half an hour to dry especially in the cheek areas if applied heavily.

Once dry, the product feels tight on the skin and though they have asked to remove it with a wet sponge, I prefer splashing cold water on the face to wet the pack and gently scrub it away. By this, the pack doubles up as a scrub too. It cleanses the skin very well. My Skin feels soft, smooth and refreshed. It has not irritated the dry areas of my skin unlike few other packs. But that doesn't mean that I can skip applying a moisturizer.

It does not impart any stretchy feeling. As they have mentioned, it does cause a mild tingling sensation which is not bothersome. After using it for 3 times, I found that it discourages the formation of white and black heads too (may be due to its coarse nature).

Due to the nature of my skin, I use this pack only once in a week along with a scrub from the same range. I am using this pack for three months now and I can confidently say that this pack has tremendously helped in discouraging the occurrence of acne. I still get one or two hormonal acne but they are very negligible in size and get cured soon. I am using couple of other products in my skin care regime so I cannot completely credit this product for reducing the acne marks. But yes. It does help a lot.
