Hello dear friends,
Happy Holidays!! Today, in the holiday spirit, I am going to review you a pretty red lipstick. Yup I have FINALLY graduated to reds in lippies.
After being swooned by the Lakme 9 to 5 lipstick range (read my review of Tea Break here) I picked up few more colors among which is this beauty named MR5 Roseate Motive.
Priced at Rs. 400/- these lipsticks are pure delight for matte and semi matte lovers. Being cursed (blessed) with lips that I think are huge, I am not really a fan of glossy lips.
They come in a rose gold bullet packing which is convenient for travel.
The lipstick is a gorgeous orange red with silver shimmers. The silver shimmers are fine and they don’t look as obvious as they seem in the swatch.
For me, this is a gorgeous festive color that brightens up my face instantly. This color enhances my skin’s yellow undertones in a flattering way.
Finish is matte and it stays for about 5 hours on my lips before fading. When it fades, it does not leave the residual shimmer like most of the other shimmery ones. Thanks to that.
Like most of the 9 to 5 lipsticks, this one is also well pigmented and covers pigmentation in one swipe. But unlike Tea break, it does not feel slippery when layered.
Due to its texture, it does no favors in concealing your dry lips. So you need to moisturize them well before putting this on. Again, due to its texture, it does not bleed.
In Artificial Light.
On my lips:
Maniac’s Rating: 5/5.
Gorgeous color and for once I am not running away from shimmer. :D Definitely recommended.
If you are looking for much affordable alternatives in shimmery bright lipsticks, I suggest you to check out StreetWear’s California Orange. It is a bright orange lipstick with golden shimmer.
Hope you girls found my review useful.
