After brown, I am back with reviewing the grey color kohl pencil from Lakme eyeconic eyeliner range.
It comes in the standard Lakme eyeconic packing about which I have gone in detail in the first review here. The pencil is retractable and travel friendly.
I did not pick this one up on my first haul as I had this bad opinion about grey color not suiting my eyes.
But during my second visit I somehow decided to try it and viola! It is the best grey pencil I have ever come across.
The pigmentation is awesome and the color is not the general light grey that looks ghastly on medium complexion. It is dark grey and looks pretty even against my medium to fair complexion. It does not look chalky at all.
The texture is little creamier than the brown one making it susceptible to breakage. This liner has no shimmer and is completely matte like the rest from its range.
Application is easy as it glides on my lids like butter. Once set, it stays for long time. It does fade a little after 5-6 hours of wear time around the inner corner.
Apart from that it is smudge proof and water proof as Lakme claims. I use baby oil to remove this completely from my eyes.
It does not melt. But on my waterline, it stayed for 3-4 hours before settling in the lash line. It did not sting or feel heavy on my waterline.
On my eyes:
Lakme Eyeconic Pencil in Grey
INR. 250/- for 0.35 gm.
What I like:
Very good staying power.
Water line safe.
Smooth and creamy texture.
Does not look chalky against my medium – fair complexion.
Can be used as a base for eyeshadows too.
Affordable when compared to other colored liners available in India.
What I hate:
The pencil could have been color coded as well like the white one.
Tip is susceptible to breakage due to its creamy texture.
I love this color. This is definitely one grey that will look pretty against our medium skin tone. Highly recommended.
