Bourjois Flower Perfection Skin Transforming Loose Powder - Review and Swatch

Hello friends,

I have got this sudden love for Bourjois products. They suit me well than many products I have tried. Today I am going to review one product from Bourjois which is good but not that impressive.

Bourjois Flower Perfection Skin Transforming Loose Powder Review

As I have combination skin, there were many times where I have preferred loose powders over compacts as they tend to look more natural. When I saw this translucent setting powder from Bourjois, I had to pick it up.

What Bourjois claims:

My Experience:

The powder comes in a pale pink tub similar to the primer from the flower perfection range. The loose powder’s tub is little bigger and has a plastic inner lid with few holes to prevent wastage of the product. It has a screw-lid and it is travel friendly and pleasant to look at.

The powder comes in a single universal shade and suits for all skin tones.

The texture of the powder is finely milled and smooth. It blends into the skin easily.

It is translucent so no worries about looking out of place.

On application, my skin feels soft and radiates with a faint and healthy glow. My skin did not feel dry at all.

The powder has a pleasant floral fragrance that unfortunately fades away on application. The fragrance is extremely mild even to my super sensitive nose.

My T-Zone tends to get slightly oily and this powder does nothing to mattify it. As I don’t have much of an “oil” problem, I can live with it.

The staying power is just average. It does set the makeup well but after 3-4 hours I don’t feel any trace of the glow or anything.

3/5

It is a decent product but I want my setting powder to stay a little longer than this. I will use it up but will not repurchase. Not suitable for oily skinned.
I am eyeing Kryolan Setting powders next.

Have you tried Bourjois flower perfection loose powder? If so how did it fare on your skin?

I love using this with Flower Perfection Primer and F.P. Foundation - that's how it works best. 'Course, they should have sold them in the set!! And it is absurd to buy a powder just to go along with the set, especially if it doesn't work as well with other products, but you should see the way it "belongs" with the other two F.P.'s!

When a product is "great" we can buy it with our eyes closed na? :) @Swati Reddy this bangle belongs to my mum too (gifted to her by my grandma during her wedding). I find it lucky so i sport it always. :D

Welcome to the Bourjois Fan Club :D I've just made you secretary :D :D It is quite addicting, isn't it? You MUST try out the duochrome pencil in green, the lip gloss that turns your shade of pink, the Rouge Edition liquid stains, the nail polish dipping remover... okay, so I'm obsessed! I fell in love with makeup through Bourjois and they were the first to release personal-use makeup products. Another thing in my essay - Bourjois is one of the only brands that launch in India almost at the same time as the launch products in the UK. Incidentally, the exported products are exactly the SAME quality, whereas even Maybelline and YSL send over second-grade (Baby Lips in the USA is totally different, so are Glossy Stains). Essay over (for now).

Haha.. Thank you *bows head* I love this brand. No foundation suited me including mac ones. But i got the healthy mix one on Shweta's reco and it gives that awesome glowy look. I tried the primer and it is a hit too. Next on my wish list are the mascaras and concealers.
