I spotted the Lakme Absolute Limited Edition Nail paints and decided to try them.
They have launched few LE shades from their absolute range tagged as Illusion Nails and Nail Tints. Illusion Nails are metallic and frosty polishes available in four shades Desire, Eternal, Illusion and Fantasy. I picked Desire and Fantasy.
Nail Tints are also available in four shades but they are creamy pastels perfect for summers.
Desire is a dirty gold shimmer polish. It looks more shimmery than metallic to me. It is a three coater but due to its n8de gold base, it looks pretty decent with two coats as well.
Fantasy is a beautiful baby pink polish with silver shimmer. It is not streaky but the formula is quite thick and sheer to my tastes. Three coats are required for an opaque color. But it does look decent with just two coats on.
Fuscia Sorbet is a bright highly reflective pink. Cream finish. It is a tad creamier and reflective than the pastels from their 9 to 5 range.
While removing the illusion nails polishes, the shimmer separates. I guess it is the same with majority of metallics and shimmer. But the good point here is, it is not difficult to remove at all. I still remember the nightmare I went through while removing the L’Oreal Cannes paints.
They are not streaky but for the illusion nails. For illusion Nails, it is paramount to let the first coat dry before going for a second one as it tends to drag the base coat with it. (you can see the effects of my impatience in Fantasy's Swatch)
The polish thickens easily even with a little exposure to air.
They all have wide applicators which aid in seamless application.
Their staying power is great and impressive. I expected them to fade in a day but they stayed three days without fading or chipping. After that the tip of my nails were visible. That's it.
All the swatches were taken in sunlight with just 2 coats on. To give you girls an idea of the translucence.
These are a great improvement considering the quality of their old ranges. If they keep the quality good, no one would mind to pay.
Price: INR. 200 for the Illusion Nails and INR. 250/- for the Nail Tints.

I would love to try Kiwi Martini from the nail tint range next.
