Oriflame Optimals White Foaming Gel Review and Swatch

Hello Friends,

My skin is back to being combination as against being dry in winters. I was looking for a decent cleanser, toner and cream to help my skin get back on track. I got an opportunity to try the newly revamped optimals white range from oriflame and I am going to review their foaming gel for combination skin today.

Oriflame Optimals White Foaming Gel Review and Swatch

About Oriflame Optimals White Foaming Gel:

Refreshing foaming cleanser that effectively cleanses normal/combination skin and removes makeup, preparing it fir your toner application. With patented antioxidant technology Lingon 50:5o tm and skin – lightening complex.  For all ages.

Ingredients List:

AQUA, GLYCERIN, SODIUM LAURETH SULFATE, COCAMIDOPROPYL BETAINE, SODIUM COCO-GLUCOSIDE TARTRATE, SODIUM LAUROYL SARCOSINATE, PHENOXYETHANOL, SODIUM CHLORIDE, PARFUM, PEG-150 PENTAERYTHRITYL TETRASTEARATE, DMDM HYDANTOIN, PEG-6 CAPRYLIC/CAPRIC GLYCERIDES, CITRIC ACID, SODIUM HYDROXIDE, HYDROLYZED CRANBERRY FRUIT/LEAF EXTRACT, RUMEX OCCIDENTALIS EXTRACT, ETHYLHEXYLGLYCERIN

My Experience:

Despite my hatred to the skin-lightening tag in skin care especially in facial skin care products, I find them working for me in the way I expect them to be. Be it Lotus Herbals serum or this range from oriflame.

I expect my face wash to gently clarify my skin and remove all the impurities without being drying. This is what exactly this face wash does.

Oriflame Optimals White Foaming Gel packing

It comes in an opaque white plastic bottle with a pump dispenser. The nozzle can be locked by turning it so that you need not be worried about the product seeping out while travelling. But I don’t prefer huge bottles for travelling. As it is opaque, it gets difficult to know the amount of product left in the bottle.

Oriflame Optimals White Foaming Gel Review and Swatch

It is a transparent liquid of runny consistency. It lathers moderately and I feel little warmth seeping through my skin where I am working this product on (because for the bleaching agents)

It works great in removing makeup. It removes everything with little effort. Of course I still use coconut oil to remove my eye makeup.

It has a faint chemical-floral smell which is not at all annoying. One pump is sufficient to wash my face so a 200 ml bottle with last long.

Oriflame Optimals White Foaming Gel removes all traces of makeup

Apart from removing makeup, it makes my skin soft and smooth. It never broke out my super-sensitive skin. It did feel a little drying especially on my cheek area but the day cream from this same range took care of it.

I had pigmentation problem beneath and around my lips. I can see them looking not so prominent after 10 days of using this face wash which gives enough reasons for me to repurchase this throughout summers.

What I Like:

  4. Helps with pigmentation problems.
  5. Even out skin tone to a great extent.
  6. Does not irritate skin.

  8. I cannot see any parabens in the ingredients list.

What I hate:
  1. Opaque bottle.
  2. When not followed up with a moisturizer, skin on my cheek area feels little dry.
  3. Has mild bleaching agents in the ingredients list.
  4. Needs to be purchased through an oriflame representative.

Indian Beauty Maniac’s Rating
4/5

I love it and I am happy the way it is treating or to say “lightening” the pigmentation marks. Highly recommended to all my friends who have normal – combination skin with pigmentation issues.

As for me, I am not sure about buying it again because of the ingredients. Though the results may not be as obvious as this has been, I would love to try more organic and herbal products.
