I visited the Faces Canada store in Express Avenue mall, Chennai recently. I was surprised to see that they have a wide range of products than the popular brands like Lakme, Maybelline and Revlon. I was interested to see the eyeshadows and found they have many pretty shades in both matte and velvety textures. I picked up two. The problem I found is that they don’t have names for any shades, just numbers like Inglot. I have this problem in remembering shades and lack of proper naming confuses me.
It comes in tiny black pan with a transparent lid. The eyeshadow pan closes tightly that I sometimes find it difficult to open compared to the single eyeshadows I have from other brands. The packing is very travel friendly. The lid is transparent so I can pick up the shade without having to read the shade number which is printed on a label at the bottom of the pan.
Price: Rs. 550 for 2g.
There is no ingredients list or expiry date mentioned. Anyways like the way once a MAC MUA told me I don’t think powders have an expiry date. But it depends on what you feel about it.
My thoughts on Faces Canada Single Eyeshadows – FES232 and FES066
FES232 is a blackened plum shade which is pure matte in texture. I am not very pleased with the pigmentation of this one. It is just average. I feel it is a bit dry but is not very difficult to blend. This shade can be used easily as liner on the lash line or on the outer corners or crease for contouring.
FES066 is a bronze eyeshadow with a velvety finish. It is more pigmented than the other one. It is very good shade for Ethnic wear. I use this shade all over my eye lids and it looks really subtle yet pretty. This is softer and easily bendable compared to FES232.
Both eyeshadows apply evenly and last throughout the day with minimal fading. They don’t crease at all. However, I faced mild fall outs with FES066 as you can see in the pictures compared to FES232. They have not caused any irritation on my eyes and I am comfortable in wearing both eyeshadows for long time on my eyelids. It does fade a little bit but nothing major.
I use FES232 mostly on my lash line only to get a smudged effect on my upper lash line and it looks very pretty.

Now summing up the pros and cons:
Faces Canada Eyeshadow Singles - FES232 and FES066
Price: Rs. 550 for 2g.
I will give the Faces Canada single eyeshadows FES232 and FES066 a rating of 3.5/5.
I would like to try couple of other shades to see if the pigmentation is better with them.
Hope you liked my review. I would like to listen from you what you think about my post.
