They come in cute light weight transparent pots with the Maroon pink lid. It does not come with an eyeshadow applicator like the Maybelline tattoo eye shadows. 4g is a generous amount and it will go a long way.
Coming to the texture, it has one of the most unique mousse like texture and upon application it transforms in to a powdery finish. It feels so easy to apply. Just like caressing your lids with silk. I love its texture.
Application is very easy. It is beginner friendly and today all i did was dab it across my lids using my ring finger. Due to the finish, it looks gorgeous and blends like a dream. I never felt the reason to use a brush with this for my every day look.
Pigmentation, as you can see is average in single swipe but can be intensified easily. The eye shadows does not look cakey or does not slip when layered upon due to its texture. My most favorite color is the olive green one as it compliments my skin tone well and is perfect for the festivals without looking too blingy.
The eye shadows all have metallic finish/sheen to it. Golden brown has minute golden glitters, olive green has minute golden and blue glitters and deep indigo has blue ones. All these glitters are not obvious at all and you can find them only upon close inspection. The role of these tiny flecks of glitters is to reflect the light and contribute to the sheen and that is what it does.
Coming to the creasing part, they do crease after 4-5 hours of wear time if my lids are not primed well. And I find deep indigo to crease more obviously than the rest. On primed lids, they stay for about 6-7 hours before starting to mildly fade away.
I tried it as a base for my powder eye shadows and it worked well. It made the color pop and increased the staying power. But due to the texture, powder/pigment needs to be dabbed quickly or else it is just as good as applying an eyeshadow over another eyeshadow.
These eye shadows are not smudge-proof or water-proof. And, they come off easily with my kara makeup removing wipes.
Like all Oriflame Products, you can buy these only through a representative.
How to get best out of your Oriflame the One Color Impact Cream Eye Shadows:
Use your fingers to dab the color on your lids. It blends perfectly with no need to use a separate blending brush. If you need more intensity, then wait for few seconds before dabbing the color on top of the first layer. Just dab and do not shade.
Indian Beauty Maniac’s Rating
Pros: Ease of application, versatility, Gorgeous colors and buildable pigmentation.
Cons: Not being smudge proof, creasing and availability.
These eye shadows are good for novices as these are so easy to apply and blend. You cannot go wrong with these. But I would have preferred a much more crease-proof version. And again, I can never be satisfied with cosmetics.
